These four architect designed residences from the creative team at Re:CONSTRUCTION bring together the benefits of modern urban design with neo-industrial interiors.

Wide polished timber floorboards, recycled “old reds” brick feature walls, polished concrete floors, and other exposed structural elements combine with a range of eco features to offer high end stylish luxury.

With facades of recycled bricks bearing reminders of Seddon’s and Yarraville’s industrial past, these two-bedroom (each with stylish en-suite bathroom) residences over three levels offer sophistication and comfort amidst the surrounding inner urban facilities. Practical extras include a stainless steel cook’s kitchen with European appliances, a study area and smart storage.

Two residences offer exceptional side garden spaces highlighted by vertical gardens. All residences have rear gardens.

North-facing balconies and generous open living spaces complete a designed living package that presents outstanding value for the area.

  • Stainless steel chefs kitchen with Caesarstone bench tops and glass splash back

Reuse of Soap and Candle Factory Head Office Industrial Deco Style Building

Soap Factory Office Facade Soap Factory Office Staircase Soap Factory Office Enrty

Sometimes we come across a real gem. This outstanding building of 2,355sqm* on land of 1,155sqm* has spectacular views to the CBD & surrounds and is zoned Capital City Zone 1.

Established in 1856 as soap and candle works by J Kitchen and Sons as a backyard concern, but forced to move by the council, the company acquired the Ingles Street site in 1859 manufacturing candles, washing blue, soap, soda crystals, glycerine and baking powder.

In 1962 J. Kitchen & Sons Pty Ltd joined fellow soap manufacturer Lever Brothers Pty Ltd, forming Lever & Kitchen Pty Ltd. The firm was later restructured as Unilever in 2000, and later taken over by Pental and very recently Symex Holdings Limited.

This factory head office Industrial Deco style building has had more than its fair share of vandal, squatter and robber activity but she is still standing, looking to be re-purposed into a new use. Find out more here.
